“My father always said ‘One day you will make
a wine so remarkable the world will beat a pathway to your door’, we believe we found
this idea in these wines.”

"A traditional winemaking approach has been taken here, including open-top fermentation and extended maturation. The best and most complete of any wine I have tasted from Miles. Deep and concentrated blackeurrant with added rich complexity from the black olive, dark chocolate and slight graphite nuances. Had about 17 months in French and Hungarian oaks. Has a dry chalky finish."

"There is a purity and naturalness about this wine, largely a result of winemaking approach of pressing straight to oak, wild fermentation, full malo and ageing for 10 months before being bottled unfiltered. Lemon curd and brioche with almond meal and a trace of jasmine. The palate is textured and controlled with a very long finish. "

"Some interesting techniques have contributed to the energy and vibrance of this wine. For instance, after open fermentation in concrete, viognier was added, and a small amount of whole-bunch carbonie maceration used before maturation in both French an American oak. Smooth and elegantwith a supple velvety palate after the aromatics of the viognier infused nose."

"This is a solid offering. Dark plums, baking spices and fresh herbs with a spray of pomegranate molasses. It's full bodied with shapely and textural tannins. Lots to like."

"From the weighty bottle to the wine within, this is big and expansive across the full-bodied palate. Yet, there's a plushness, too, a generosity of flavour from cassis, blackberry pie and a lovely array of spices- warm and exotic. Some heft to the tannins, yet refreshment throughout."

"Medium-deep ruby with a subtle trace of purple in the meniscus; the bouquet features raspberry/mulberry/red fruit aromas, with tobacco and pencil-shavings wood notes, while the palate is medium bodied and quite elegant, with fine, powdery tannins that impart a savouriness. Moderate length. It seems slightly forward in development, but the flip side of that is that it's approachable young."

"Mid-straw in the glass, fresh and bright. Complex aromas of nougat, grilled nuts, nectarine, white flowers and cooked citrus. Full, rich, round and creamy on the palate.

The flavours really caress and envelop. There's an opulence and richness, with lashings of peach, cream and nutty oak. Length and mouth-feel are impressive. A little old school, but very enjoyable."

"The fruit is supple and very fine, with raspberry, cut fennel, liquorice and cassis in profusion. The tannins are ductile and firm in the mouth but give way to fruit through the finish. It's a lovely wine from a cool season, although its light weight due to the year may be the only quibble here."

"The wine has some weight, too, lots of sweet, spicy cedary oak to the fore while the fruit flutters underneath. Lots of creamy texture and a certain depth."

"The 2021 Origin of Now Chardonnay leads with custard apple and brine, donut peach and red apple skins. In the mouth, the fruit is concentrated and framed by toasted oak, drawnout over a long finish. Classically styled Chardonnay here, with power and drive and oak. Good."

"The 2021 Origin of Now Shiraz leads with oak on the nose. The fruit behind (own- rooted WA clones) is purple and red, littered with black cherry, red apple skins, some florals and exotic spice. This, despite the oak framing, is not a full-bodied/full-throttle wine. The concrete fermentation vessels have assisted in retaining some purity/clarity of fruit on the middle palate."
